TOPIC: HOLINESS

TEXT: PSALM 15:1-5

Holiness is key to godliness. It is all about living righteously; a perfect and upright life approve by God. A life free from sins and shun evil, a life that God is proud of like that of Job.

Every Christian who aspire to make heaven must be holy because our God his holy and has called us to worship him in Holiness (1 chr 16-29)

WHY BELIEVERS MUST BE HOLY

1.       Our God is Holy (1peter 1:15, Lev 20:7)

2.       He commands us to be holy (Lev 20:7, Gen 17:1)

3.       For worship and service (Exodus 15: 11, Luke 1:74-75)

4.        For our salvation and eternal life (1Tim 2:5, Prov 18:10)

5.       For leadership (1Tim 2:2)

6.       Exploit and Victorious life (Deut 28:7, Heb 1:9)

7.       For Answered prayers (Luke 1:13)

8.       For all blessings (Psalm 23:5, Deut 28: 1,2)

WHAT TO DO

1.       Be obedient (Ecc 12:13, 1chr 21:19, Gen 49:10)

2.       Be faithful (Romans 4:3, Eph2:8-9, Heb 11:1-3)

3.       Work in Righteousness (Heb 1:19, Luke 1:75)

4.       Be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4, Gal 5:22-23)

CONCLUSION

Without Holiness no man can see God. Be holy
